Day 3 & 4

The Dolomites

03

After Lake Como, we got on our tour bus with Deborah, our tour guide, and Adrian, our bus driver, and took a drive through mountains of northern Italy to Sud Tirol.  Our first stop was Bolzano, where we visited Otzi the Iceman, and then we climbed into the mountains to the village of Castelrotto (Kastelruth in German), which is at the base of the large Alpine meadow Alpe de Suisi (Seizer Alm).  The family split up with other tour members to tackle as many trails as possible.

Markings on the trees let you know that you're on the trail to the Hexenquellen, or Witches Spring (pictured at right).
